If you are a lawyer who is preparing for or has recently attained a leadership or people management role, this three day residential program will expand your toolkit for improving your professional effectiveness.
You will be challenged with fresh ideas, receive individual feedback and coaching, and enjoy a forum where legal management issues are shared to facilitate cross learning.
The program has a practical focus and applies a mix of learning and communication methodologies including interactive workshops, facilitated group sessions and experiential role plays and case studies. The result is an engaging and transformational experience where blockers are identified and breakthrough strategies are discussed.
Content includes heightening your self-awareness as a leader, identifying your natural strengths and development areas in typical people management scenarios, emotional intelligence development for distinctive leadership and coaching, and maximising your return on investment from participating in the LLP.

Testimonials:
The LLP program delivered so much more for me than it promised. I was able to gain insight into better team management and coaching, managing change, leadership transitions, and developing strategy and putting it into action. I also gained valuable feedback on my own personal leadership style and perceptions. The professional facilitation and program content is first rate and ideal for those who are already in – or aspire to be in- a legal management role.

I attended IKD’s 3-day LLP program in 2007 while working at NAB. The program is an excellent thought-provoker for aspiring legal managers. The IKD team presented a great mixture of theory and practice, which started with a properly conducted Myers-Briggs assessment of the participants, but moved swiftly into practical managerial thinking and skills, including 1-to-1 coaching techniques and some realistic discussions around what “commerciality” really means for a legal practitioner. The standouts for me in the program were the diverse range of participants, the effort the IKD team went to in tailoring the sessions as the program developed, and the terrific atmosphere generated by the presenters – both in the formal sessions and at the dinners and other breaks. IKD have great facilitators who put genuine effort and sincerity into building a great course.
